Great cabin!
Great cabin not too far outside of town. The wilderness is really nice that surrounds the cabin. Very clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice on snowy night! Definitely would stay again! Thanks

Monarch Ski Trip!
This is our go-to cabin when we ski at Monarch. We have stayed here very time we head down to use our 3-day pass we get from our Loveland pass. It's a great place for our 3-person family unit. It's a short drive to Monarch, a short drive to Salida, the hot tub is fantastic, the bed is super comfy, the place is very warm and cozy. We look forward to coming back every year.

All you could ask for and more
Perfect location between Monarch and Salida. Pictures don't do it justice. It's much nicer than it looks. The King bed was very comfortable and the cabin was very well stocked for an extended stay of eight nights. It's a quiet area and we saw many Deer every evening. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Just perfect!
This cabin was just right for a weekend with my husband. Love the location, beautiful views, deer in the area. Cabin has everything you need and then some. Furniture is comfy, kitchen well-stocked, plenty of towels for showers and the hot tub. So close to Monarch and Salida—best of both worlds! Leona is a wonderful host. We wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.

Beautiful property!
My husband and I fell in love with this cabin, it was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Pictures just do not do this house justice! Everything was great, I only wish we could have stayed longer. It rained the first full day, so we couldn't sit by the river, but we got to take pictures and you could hear it from inside the cabin! It was so very relaxing. I would love to stay again, we went to Boss Lake Trail to hike, but it snowed so we didn't get to the lake since we were not equipped to hike on a slippery trail, so hopefully we will be back to rent this cabin again in the future. Leona was great and quick to respond to my questions.

Peaceful getaway
Great place to stay, this is our 2nd time staying here and wont be the last. Nothing better than sitting in the hot tub on a brisk starry night. Such a lovely, well maintined property. So peaceful and relaxing

Great Location!
The cabin was clean, quiet and perfect for just 2 best friends on an adventure. The creek is beautiful. If we had one suggestion it would be to add motion sensor lights outside. It is REALLY dark and hard to see if "anything" is active in the nearby areas :)

Great stay!
We loved this cabin! The location is excellent, close to both Salida and Buena Vista. We enjoyed town visits with our dog (dog parks and dog friendly eateries in both places) but just hanging out at the cabin, on the porch or by the creek, was also wonderful. We would definitely like to return to this lovely spot.

Weekend Getaway
We stayed here to be close to the Mt. Shavano and Tab Peak Trailhead. Yet this location is close to everything! Hiking, Monarch Mountain, Salida, etc., and it is a super private location. It also has absolutely everything you need. The bed was super comfortable. Not too firm but not too soft. The private hot tub was properly maintained and was clean. The property is updated and was surprisingly big. This was a fantastic rental. Only minor complaint was that it was extremely hot when we arrived and it took a lot of time to get it too cool down. If they purchased some stand up fans and kept them in the closet, that would help a lot on hot summer days. I would still highly recommend a stay here.

Quintessential Colorado Cabin
This was the perfect cabin for our family of four. We loved the private hot tub and fire pit by the creekside. The owners left detailed information and instructions for a wonderful stay. We'll stay again!

Comfy, cozy getaway
Traveling as a couple just wanting to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature for a couple of days. This was a great location to do just that! Close enough to Salida and Buena Vista to enjoy the amenities of those towns, while still surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature right in the backyard, and easy access to plenty of hiking and off-roading trails. The hot tub was definitely a plus after a long day of Jeepin’! Would recommend and hope to return ourselves soon!

Amazing
It was a beautiful, cozy well stocked cabin. Literally the only things you nee to take with you is food and your toiletries.The location is great. 10 minutes from grocery shopping. Private hot tub and gas grill.The amenities are off the charts. 15 minutes from downtown Salida . Excellent hiking and rich gem deposits for the rockhounds (us). We will be back

35th Anniversary Trip
We had a wonderful stay in Salida. The cabin is wonderful even better in person. The river is very beautiful and right down from cabin. I booked this cabin because river was near it and i was not disappointed. The hot tub was great. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and equipment. Very clean property!! We will return.

Cozy Cabin
We had a great time at this cabin! It is so cute and cozy and the hot tub was a great addition after a long day of skiing. It's close to Salida and Poncha Springs and the views on short walks down the road were amazing. There is some road noise when you are outside of the cabin but we didn't notice it when we were inside. We will be back!

Cozy Cabin for Ski Trip!
This is my family's second year staying in this cabin. It is conveniently located between Salida and Monarch Mountain. My family enjoyed coming back to the cabin after a long day of skiing and relaxing in the hot tub. While in the hot tub you will notice the honking traffic that passes by. Please look into the story behind this because it's pretty interesting!

Wonderful cabin for a ski trip
My husband, dog, and I stayed here in January for a ski trip and loved it. The location is perfectly situated between the resort (Monarch) and town in Salida. We opted to cook our meals for the week and only wound up needing one trip to the grocery store, but it was nice knowing we could dine out at a restaurant in town if we wanted to. Can’t recommend this cabin enough for a casual trip. We’re already looking forward to returning next winter!

Perfect for a Salida getaway
This property has it all--great location, great amenities, and great hosts. location is close to Salida and to Monarch Mountain. Hiking and other outdoor activities nearby. Beautiful view of Mt. Shavano. Cabin is very comfy with good wifi, dishTV, well-stocked kitchen, firepit next to the creek and hot tub right out the back door. The hosts are great; made it possible for us to check in early, responded right away when we had a question. They've thought of just about anything you could need or want. Highly recommend this property if you're a small group looking for a Salida getaway.

Mountain Snow Vacation
We rented this property as we planned to ride at Monarch for three days. The cabin was perfect for my little family of three. The inside stove did a great job of drying our damp gear for the next day. The cabin itself was clean and comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the hot water never ran out, and the washer and dryer were helpful as well. Being close to Salida and Poncha Springs was a plus as well for both dining and to pick up things we needed.

AMAZING CABIN
This cabin is an amazing find, you cannot beat the price, with the kind of quality of the amenities in the home. From the comfortable mattress, furniture, internet, direct-tv and the better quality of the paper products and personal supplies. Not to mention the available long distance phone service without having cell service, which is amazing on its own. May seem silly but these small jesters make a stay more enjoyable. Now for the outside of the cabin. The hot tub was very, very relaxing and enjoyable, (except will you stand up at 16 degree windchill 🥶🥶🥶). Sitting in the hot tub looking at the amazing moonlite sky full of stars and bright milkyway. The fire pit, there's nothing like sitting and watching a crackling fire with the sound of a running mountain stream behind you. We try to find different cabins to stay in when plan these long weekends getaways. This cabin is one that we would return to. With the short drive to town for a to grab a meal or supplies or to Monarch Pass for a beautiful drive. To the owners, thank you for the extra personal touches to make our stay even more enjoyable.
