”Our visit at Castillo Romano was great! We basically had the whole castle for ourselves as there was only one other guest at the time we were there. Location is perfect, nice view out to the sea, only five to ten minute walk to the beach and the whole concept of the place is nice. This is not a five star hotel and there's no reception. ”Die Anlage wurde wohl gerade erst vom Vater übernommen und ist in einen schlechten Zustand. Fast alles Aussagen zur Einrichtung stimmten nicht. Keine Klimaanlage, kein Fernseher, kein Internet auf dem Zimmer (nur an der Rezeption, bezüglich in den direkt angrenzenden Zimmer. Kein Zimmerservice, es wurde einfach nicht gemacht. Einzig das Frühstück war ganz OK. Ich würde es nicht wieder buchen. Das Bett war eine Frechheit, steinhart und die Matraze mindestens 20 Jahre alt.”

”Pro: Very well located. About 20 meters from the beach. The place and room were as advertised. The next door restaurants (both) are really nice and their owners make you feel like family. ”Hotel was almost empty in week 4 2015. This gave a little bit unconfortable feeling. Sights to the Samana bay beatifull, but there is nothing else near the hotel. There is kitchen and washing machine for clothes in the rooms and the rooms are pretty nice and clean. Still there are some common things missing: a frying pan and no washing powder/pills for washing machine! Nearest store to buy powder is Samana 15 km away! Personnel didn't care about this even requested.”

”This is a real beach get away, there is not so much around but that adds to the tranquility of the area. If you need to just get away from the crowds and enjoy the coast this is a wonderful place. The jungle apartment also was incredible, we would spend an hour just watching the wildlife on the tree that runs through the building. Of course being in the jungle environment means jungle animals so be warned there will be some big looking spiders. ”
