The Casita is in the heart of Tobin Hill Historic Neighborhood. The trendy Pearl Complex is only a 1/2-mile walk. Our charming casita has been restored with modern comforts, such as brand new AC/heat, new appliances, and fixtures, while keeping the unique historic features of the house, such as the original wood floors, original bathroom and kitchen tile, the retro built-in hallway ironing board, and the art-deco 91-year old doors and knobs!
All TVs are smart, with free streaming access to Hulu Live+ ESPN, Prime Video, and Disney Plus (included.) You can also log in to Netflix and other apps of your choice.
Bedroom 1: 1 King-size bed, desk with chair and lamp, large smart TV with streaming, full closet.
Bedroom 2: TWO bunk beds with full mattresses on the bottom and twin mattresses on top, large smart TV with streaming, walk-in closet.
Bathroom 1: Shower/tub combo; soap, shampoo, and conditioner included.
Bathroom 2: Shower; soap, shampoo, and conditioner included.
Kitchen: Dishwasher, 5-burner gas stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, regular coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, blender. We have enough coffee for at least your first morning! The drawers and cabinets are full of all types of utensils, pots, pans, and foil! We provide paper towels, dish soap, salt and pepper, and oil. There are many pots and pans in the lower cabinets.
Utility room: Full-sized washer and dryer with detergent. There is Bocce Ball in the closet and the corn hole is stored in here also.
Living Room: Smart TV with streaming, two sofas, and family games.
Dining Room: Huge table that seats 8+, stand-up bar, large smart TV with streaming, and a poker table top with cards and poker chips.
Outdoor spaces: The backyard has a large deck with a table that seats up to 8, plus two more chairs, a large umbrella for shade, a lawn area for games, an adjustable basketball net with basketballs, a gas grill (propane included), and a 6-foot privacy fence surrounds the area. The driveway parks 3-4 cars behind a 6-foot iron gate. You may also park one car in front of the gate and one in front of the house. The front porch has a covered sitting area with lovely landscaping and an iron fence for privacy.
The street is quiet and you will most likely see neighbors walking their dogs and saying hello!
You will have the entire home and ALL outdoor areas to yourself!
There is a garage in the back with storage that is not accessible.
The owners live nearby and will be available for assistance but will respect the privacy of the guests.
This home is in a historic neighborhood in the middle of the city, just north of downtown. Tobin Hill is an eclectic mix of homeowners, renters, and vacation renters that is bound by the Pearl, downtown, St. Mary`s strip, and Brackenridge Park and Golf course.
The Historic Pearl Brewery, est. 1883, is a vibrant community 1/2 mile down the street. Pearl is rich in history, culture, and cuisine. There are multiple restaurants and shops, a farmer`s market every Saturday and Sunday, and a grassy picnic area and water splash-pad for the kids. Pearl boasts some of the top restaurants in the nation.
Just a 1/2 north is St. Mary`s strip, a vibrant entertainment area that locals often visit. It is known for its bars, clubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and restaurants.
The Pearl is an easy 0.5-mile walk or drive, and Downtown SA is a decent walk or drive, and the Alamo is only 1.7 miles away! If you drive to the Pearl, there is a parking lot directly at the end of our street, Myrtle, on the right.
The home is also conveniently located less than a mile from both I-35 and 281, for easy access to the entire city and New Braunfels.
