I don't usually waste time in reviewing hotel stays or other services, but as I told the front desk staff when checking out, the bad experience during the stay leaves no choice.
The only good thing about my stay was that the staff was polite, but especially the breakfast lady, Daniela, who asked everyday if we needed anything, she was a rock star and should be paid more or promoted.
Now the bad news, the housekeeping upstairs was terrible, and the rooms felt dirty. We stayed with other members of our family and they had the same experience. Our bathtub and sink were clogged, they sent help but staff didn't clean the bathtub after the fact, leaving the dirt water marks behind. The towels are the WORST, all of them old and stained, they were not white, but yellow. The shower curtain was pink from the mildew, disgusting. One day they forgot to make our beds and didn't bring "fresh" towels. Our family mentioned there was a bad odor coming out from the bathroom, sewage-like. Housekeeping staff didn't make the beds properly, with sheets and blankets in the wrong order. Bottomline, the housekeeping department is either poorly managed, trained, understaffed, burned out or all of the above.
Also, someone wrote the three Ks inside one of the elevators with a sharp object, and when we approached the front desk apparently they hadn't even noticed. I hope they do something about it.
Our experience in this hotel literally put a stain on our visit to such a beautiful city.
