”Small room but clean and had everything you need! This was our 5th and final Hotel of our stay in CR and the only hotel with conditioner and a bidet. Towels were the softest as well and the pillows were perfect. Staff was gracious and very helpful. Mini bar type fridge in lobby with gluten free and alcohol options. Being near the airport there was some noise but minimal and the pools little waterfall helped mitigate that. Overall, great place near the airport, and 5 minites from Jumbo car...

”Perfect base for visiting the Poas Volcano and other sights in the area. From the hotel you can see the volcano so no guessing the weather and it's just a short ride to the national park. The hotel and rooms are modern and cozy, nice sofas with small fireplace to enjoy in the lobby area. Good restaurant.”

”We now have a tradition to stay and eat here the night before we have to leave CR to go home. The hotel is wonderful as well as the staff and the food at the steakhouse is he best!! Thank you El Rodeo for always making our last night of vacationf wonderful!”

”Everything at Hotel Pibi Boreal was beautiful! A small neighborhood hotel at the end of the road the rooms overlook a beautiful jungle area. The owners were very welcoming and attentive with timely and courteous airport transfers - even at 4am. There was a minibar and in room coffee and I was even able to a get a warm sandwich since my travels meant I missed lunch. With nice clean bedding and a wonderful balcony it was a beautiful stopover at the end of a wonderful week. ”

”We spent two nights in a boutique type hotel Volcanes. It was located in the very center of Alajuela. It’s a small family run hotel with a good friendly english speaking staff. Breakfast is served by your order and it certainly is fresh. Rooms are very tidy as all the public areas. You can find rooms for different price categories. We liked it very much. ”
