This property has a convenient location and is within walking distance to the BART station.We arrived at the specified check-in time, but we had to wait an hour or more before we could get into the room. There were several significant maintenance and comfort issues during my stay. The elevator was out of service with planters set in front of the doors to disguise them, which made navigating the building inconvenient. There were also odd smells noticeable throughout the building property. The room required a daily application of room deodorizer. The interior showed visible wear, including worn, stained carpet, cracked walls and peeling paint. The beds were uncomfortable. One of the spring mattresses was well past its prime, enough to give me back pains for most of the stay. The side-seam edge of the mattress was broken, thus requiring care when getting on and off the bed to avoid the sharp interior.While the location is good, the property needs some attention regarding its building amenities, physical upkeep, ventilation, and mattress replacement to provide an acceptable stay.
