Majatalot – San Gimignano

”No Heat, No Host Communication and Awkward. We got lucky with check in that the daughter answered the door and let us in. We never saw the host. I thought this was more of a hotel or bed and breakfast than a room in someone's house as it was. We ordered a double room and it was three rooms on the third floor of the property (One being the daughter of the hosts room) and two rooms that we did stay in and a shared bathroom. The daughter did not share the bathroom but it was clear it was hers...

”The location is impressive - right in the historic area . It is very authentic and atmospheric. It challenging in some ways. Parking is difficult and inconvenient. Inside there are challenges for older travelers or those who aren’t physically strong - difficult staircases, inadequate railings, uneven floors , etc. ”

”This is a beautiful historic palace and we loved being in the center of San Gimignano! The host was very helpful and accommodating of our party. When we booked we thought the apartment common area was part of the apartment but it is a shared space for the palace. ”
