”The staff are lovely and helpful, sadly the Aircon just made a lot of noise but failed to provide any cool air .... only really a problem during the day as the night was cool. The cabin itself was fine but the gardens and ponds are a bit sad. ”

”The property is beautiful and we very much enjoyed our stay there. It was a little difficult to find and to reach, but once we did it was all good. Would love to visit again. Grizel was very welcoming and patient with my repeated requests for guidance and her recommendation of Waze as the navigation app was very helpful.”

”An absolutely amazing cabin in the mountains. I can’t even properly describe how beautiful the stay was. Our host was extremely helpful for our whole stay. Kitchen was great and has what you need, outdoor wood bbq was also great.
It gets cold at night but there are lots of heaters and blankets.
10/10 on everything! ”

”We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. ”

10/10 Loistava
The hotel is well located since it is within a walking distance from central SJO. Atmosphere in the hotel is excellent as well as service.
Yes - the breakfast could be larger or the pool bigger, but I always assess locations from a price/quality perspective and stress cleanliness and security. And from these points of view, Santo Tomas is a first rate choice. Highly recommended. I would go again.
