”I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.”

”Excellent hotel. Close to everything without being in the middle of it. Five minute walk over cute bridge to downtown. Many eating options around the hotel. Laundry service on site, which is great while traveling. The bed was comfortable and quiet.”

”For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us.”

”Love the lodge feel and extremely kind and helpful staff. Our family stayed for three nights. Since driving the last mile was a little challenging, we opted to have dinners every night at the Lodge. Great service and wonderful food, but a bit on the pricier side compared to eating in town. We did the ATM excursion through the lodge. Xuanantunich was so close, we opted to drive via our rental and hired a private guide for $50 on-site. We did tubing on-site which was a flat 30-minute walk about...

”We had the best time at Chaa Creek. From the time that we were picked up at the airport, the warmth, the attention to detail, and the overall quality of service was amazing. We used their taxi service to take us to various places and the drivers were like tour guides and super helpful. The food at the restaurant was great and the staff were friendly. ”The Inn is small, quiet, and comfortable. The cats and dog on the property brought me smiles and the braver/friendlier cat was a lot of fun. The small pond attracts beautiful wildlife including my first tiger heron! I felt safe, had hot showers, and slept well. I wished the kitchen was serving but it was off-season and I found delicious food in town. Having a rental car made it easy to get to downtown and explore.”
