Overall, we had a good time. However, our first day and check-in experience was disappointing due to an interaction with Jesus at the front desk.
The day before our trip, we called to request an early check-in since our flight was arriving at 1 PM. The gentleman we spoke with said it should not be an issue. When we arrived, a young lady informed us that our room was not ready yet, but that she would text us as soon as it was available.
At 4 PM, the stated check-in time, we went back to the desk to ask about our room. Jesus told us, “We texted you.” I explained that I had not received any text, and he responded, “Oh well, we texted.” My husband then asked if he felt that was the right way to handle the situation, especially since we had been told the day before that early check-in should be possible and were also asked earlier that day to give it another hour.
I wanted to share this because when traveling, you hope to enjoy your trip from the very first moment. Unfortunately, this interaction took away from that experience. It was especially disappointing because this trip was our honeymoon.
