Insects and bugs can be present outside the property, and if doors or windows are left open, they may enter the premises. While we conduct monthly extermination services to manage pest control, we cannot guarantee complete exclusion of all pests. We recommend keeping doors and windows closed to minimize the risk of insects entering your home.



Guest Access:

As a guest at Yunque Reserve, you have access to the entire 1 acre property. As much as you want to explore. There is a 'rustic side" walk that goes down into the trees. Just be careful with footing and always wear bug spray.



Other Things to Note:

The property also has a automatic backup power generator that powers the full property during outages.



If you are planning to explore El Yunque Rain forest, we recommend to bring water shoes or an old pair of shoes. Trails can be muddy and it's also much easier to walk in the rivers with shoes.



Always be cautious of rain fall and river conditions.



Always bring your snacks, sunscreen, ponchos, towels, dry clothes and bug spray.



Just a quick note—Puerto Rico has tiny insects called “no-see-ums” (also known as sandflies). They’re very small and can sometimes cause itchy bites, especially around dusk or near water.



We recommend using insect repellent and keeping doors/windows closed when possible. They’re harmless, just a bit annoying.
