”Perfect base for visiting the Poas Volcano and other sights in the area. From the hotel you can see the volcano so no guessing the weather and it's just a short ride to the national park. The hotel and rooms are modern and cozy, nice sofas with small fireplace to enjoy in the lobby area. Good restaurant.”

”Outstanding stay! We came for the gardens, and they did not disappoint. They were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The gardeners were great and helped us locate some birds. We were equally impressed with the hotel. It is a lovely building with comfortable rooms. The restaurant is fantastic and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. ”

”Hotel El Guarco rooms were very clean & comfortable. Staff were very helpful & kind. The linens & towels were so white & had a lovely clean fragrance. The incuded breakfasts wre truly amazing & presentation was impeccable! We could walk to numerous other retaurants or fast food establishments for dinner meals. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable.
