”Host was the best, really nice and helpful! She helped us to book tours we wanted, shuttle to next location and she even did us sandwiches for the next morning we had to leave before breakfast. Be prepared with warmer clothes as it is really windy and chilly there! Room is pretty small but clean and otherwise ok. We would recommend this hotel!”

”Vacationed here for a short honeymoon stay. Great property. However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). ”This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer.”

”When we arrived to the hotel they didn't know we were coming because they hadn't got our reservation, although I had got the confirmation. Fortunately they had two rooms available. I would have called them because we came pretty late, but there wasn't any telephone number at hotels.com confirmation message. The hotel was neat and clean, but big minus is that there was only cold water in the shower. Breakfast was big and good. ”

”The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —...
