Perfect location and easy walking distance to the beach and dining. The outside was a little more rundown than expected but the inside looked just like the pictures.We did notice that the twin beds in one room did not seem freshly changed because there was quite a bit of sand in both beds. Management was responsive when I let them know and offered to send someone out to clean.There is also a portable AC unit, but the fuse will trip if you use it.The only other thing worth noting is that a neighbor asked us not to make noise during the day because they work at night and sleep during the day. It was not an issue for us since we were out every day, but it could matter for families planning to spend more daytime at the house.Overall, great trip and great value. We would visit again!

The first impression of the exterior was a bit surprising, very worn needs a good paint job, could update the TV’s and replace the worn out chair in the family room , great location , cute tiny home

Great location | terrible bed

The location is perfect. The place was clean. The master bed was terrible. The mattress was uncomfortable and it made loud creaking noises every time one of us moved.

Beware!!! Be clear what you are renting!

The only redeeming qualities of this property are its location within Pismo and the fact it has a functional bathroom. Things you MUST be aware of: 1 – There is no parking, despite it being listed on the amenities. There is only street parking and anyone who knows anything about Pismo knows how street parking can be. 2 – There are no laundry facilities, despite it being listed on the amenities. This is just out-and-out false advertising as there are no directions provided as to how to get to the laundry, if even one exists. 3 – There is NO room within the house to congregate as a group. This place is SMALL with limited space. 4 – The “Master Bedroom” has a queen bed that is horribly noisy and can only be accessed on one side, be ready to crawl over your bed mate. 5 – There is a heater but no thermostat, so the heater just comes on randomly and smells like it does not burn all the gas as there is a strong smell of gas coming from the unit. 6 – The place is OLD and marginally kept up, you will NOT feel comfortable. To be completely honest, there are MUCH better places to stay within Pismo that provide much more in terms of comfort and amenities than this place. I would not stay here again if they offered the place for free. Closing on a positive note, the property management personnel were great.

Nice location but not a nice place.

The place was clean as far as bedding and kitchen but very unkept on the exterior. The outside was full of cobwebs and chipping paint. There also were holes in the walls near the couch.

Definitely a cottage in the back yard, but we loved the location.

Everything was fine except for finding someone else’s underwear under the bed! Could use a plug in the bathtub, too. The location in town is great although no sunshine after noon. That may be an Advantage if the weather is really hot. Internet may be slow but we had the office come and reset the modem and it was fine again. I’d stay there again.

Excellent location

Best part is the location. A very short walk to the beach. Place was a little cramped for our family of 4, but we made it work. Rental office is right around the corner, so check in/out was easy. Also, there are no laundry machines in the unit.

Worth it for the location

This place was the most affordable option in the heart of a tourist beach town, and the property itself reflected that. But the location was great and the shower was hot, so we were happy. Things I wish I'd known: 1) The property is actually managed by a vacation rental company, which means extra paperwork and contracts to sign. As soon as I booked through VRBO, I got a phone call asking for my credit card number. It turned out to be legitimate, but it felt sketchy and I spent a lot of time on the phone making sure I wasn't being scammed, especially since there is a no-cancellation policy. 2) Because the property is in the heart of a tourist destination, parking is pretty jammed during the weekend days. That meant we could easily find parking at night, but if we wanted to drive somewhere and back on a Saturday we had to be strategic.

Good Location

Great location is pretty much what you get with this place. It’s small but was still adequate for our family of 4. I know it’s a beach cottage, but it just felt a bit dirty, even though the towels and linens were clearly washed. Our feet were pretty filthy from walking on the floor barefoot. Everything was just a bit shabby. Also, property description indicates “shared laundry” but there are no laundry facilities in the unit, and none in the identical unit next door as far as I could tell. Bottom line, I wouldn’t stay here again, but it was ok for the price and location.

Perfect Location

This cottage was perfect for my family to rest and enjoy the beach every day. It’s a 2 block walk to the beach and it is so easy to go back and forth during the day. There are so many restaurants nearby and picking up take out was an easy walk to a variety of places. The parking is on the street and it wasn’t easy to find parking during the day but at night after all the day-trippers had gone home there was a lot of parking. The cottage itself is small but met out needs as a family of four with two kids. The bathroom is a good size. I especially appreciated how far back from the street the place was. There was no traffic noise inside the cottage and it was quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had was the WiFi was terrible. It was so slow we couldn’t open a webpage on our phone or stream a show on our iPads. If you are planning on disconnecting, this place is perfect. If you are planning on doing any remote work, you’ll need to bring your own hotspot.

Good house

The house was great. Small 2 bedroom, which is exactly what we wanted. Walking distance to restaurants, pier, & beach. Clean & quiet. I highly recommend.

Positives- good location to beach, shopping, restaurants. Comfortable beds , large bathroom , functional kitchen, inside decor nice for a cottage . Comfortable for 2-4 people . Wall heater easy to use and worked well. Mgt of property easy to work with. New windows which help with traffic noise . Easy to find kitchen items for cleaning and cooking. Negatives- outside appearance very shabby/ dirty peeling paint . Outside furniture dirty and rusty. Blood stain on door frame inside near bedroom, splatter of some sort on tv, ( i cleaned both) . Cottage has limited seating and no table on a small bar to eat at. Lamps in house very small and not good for reading by need to use ceiling lights . Hopefully owners will up grade lamps, paint outside and clean / paint yard furniture .

Great stay. Good location behind newer building so somewhat secluded for downtown. 3 min walk to beach/surfing/tons of food. Great access to the freeway north and south.
