Hosted by SLO Cal Stays: Newly built home w/ 5bd, 5bth, large open concept living area, pool, hot tub, media room. Big views of hillsides provide beautiful sunrises & sunsets. Conveniently located in the middle of SLO's wine region, hiking trails + 2 miles to downtown SLO. This is our family home so the pantry is well stocked, we have tons of games and puzzles, and lots of outdoor activities available to you as well: bocce court, shuffleboard court & corn hole.

While we won't always be available in person, we are available to be messaged or called at any time.

This neighborhood is unique in SLO. It sits right on the county/city line and enjoys the benefits of both the county and city - animals graze in the pasture across the street at the neighbors', gorgeous hillside views all around, and a quick 2 mile drive downtown or wine tasting. Large neighborhood with residences spread out.

The entire property is available to our guests, except the barn, barn loft, and barn yard which is rented separately and has its own private entrance.

This is a private family residence with an additional short term rental in the adjacent barn loft. Both spaces are very private from one another. This home was newly built in 2019 and features bright spaces with beautiful views in all directions. Located in the county but just a couple miles to downtown. Sits on 2.5 acres and feels private from neighboring homes.

Public transportation (city bus) picks up right across the street.

The pool is very warm in the summer and early fall. If you'd like it to be heated in the off season, the cost is $100/day for the duration of your stay. The heating of the hot tub is included in your nightly rate.

We had a wonderful stay at Black Barn Ranch! The house was perfect for celebrating our son’s graduation from Cal Poly! The house is warm and inviting and perfect for family and friends to gather. The spa was a big hit with all our guests!The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Lindsey and Sean were great responding to all our questions and concerns before and during our stay!Thanks again!

Impeccable stay!

Wow. What can we say - it was an incredible stay for our group ranging from ages 2-45! Everything was impeccable, amenities were stocked, we loved the pool, hot tub, bocce ball, corn hole, so many things for the kids! It really is a dream home and vacation spot. We visited the beach, ate out at local restaurants, even went jogging around the neighborhood every night. The hosts are very kind and responsive. Highly recommend for a multi-family vacation!

Fabulous stay in a gorgeous home

We picked this property because it looked like a dream home, and it did not disappoint. The property is in immaculate condition; we spent 2 hrs a day swimming in the pool; love the open kitchen/dining/living room for all of us to hang out; took advantage of the outdoor games like bocci ball, corn hole and shuffleboard; lots of little things were provided which is a really nice touch and different than a lot of properties, like detergents, garbage bags, dishwasher pods, coffee, condiments, a bottle of wine, room full of towels, board games, and much more.. Sean and Lindsey are great communicators and has a quick response time. They provided a binder full of info, which sounds so dreadful but came in handy.

Great family getaway

This is a beautiful family home. Our family spent a very memorable week here. I would give Black Barn Ranch the highest of recommendations. The pantry is amazingly stocked. Everything is impeccably clean . It is clear that much care and attention went into making our visit enjoyable. Little touches like a fresh vase of roses on the table did not go unnoticed. Sean and Lindsey could not have been more hospitable.

A perfect stay!

A beautiful property that was perfect in every way!! Sean and his wife are the most gracious hosts. The house was stunning (and new) sitting on a beautiful piece of property overlooking the hills. Close to town, but with a rural feel. The house itself could not have been better. Amazing kitchen, large common rooms, and drenched in natural light. The garden outside the kitchen was both idyllic and a source of delicious fresh produce! The outdoor area is California living at its finest!! Gorgeous pool and hot tub (with cover!) and many sitting areas with umbrellas. Corn hole, bocci, and shuffle board all at the ready! We had a truly wonderful stay from start to finish, and can’t wait to return!

Wonderful Getaway

Staying at Black Barn Ranch was fantastic experience. The layout of the home and it's amenities made it a perfect stay for a extended family gathering. We were a group of 11 people, with grandparents, and children ranging from 3-16. Black Barn had a plenty of things to keep the group entertained- pool, cornhole, shuffle board, bocce. Even tons of toys and books for our littles to choose from. The location was easy to get to from downtown, and close to parks. Wouldn't hesitate booking again. Thank you for having us Black Barn!

Amazing House

We spent a week at Sean and Lindsey's Black Barn Ranch. I can't express how amazing this house is! Every detail of the house was carefully planned out and executed - not only is it beyond beautiful, but it is really functional and was a great space for us to spend a week while also working and remote learning. The kitchen included anything you could need and the space was very kid-friendly. My 7 and 9 year old boys loved the games and books in the house. And as a family, we really enjoyed the outdoor games (shuffle board, bocci and bags). The pool and the hot tub were warm and comfortable. Overall, our stay at the Black Barn Ranch was fantastic and we would love the opportunity to visit again.
