”Alfonso was easily accessible for all our needs. The asthetic of modern farmhouse mixed with vintage flair was perfectly curated. There was the most beautiful homemade breakfast from the farm every morning, and dinner every night if you would like. Be sure to check your email prior to checkin as you have to book dinner 24 hours before checkin. Our email went to spam and we missed the reservation but Alfonso was so gracious to still cook us dinner with only a few hours notice. There were kittens...

”Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet getaway from the chaos of the tourist spots in Florence. Clean rooms, friendly and attentive staff, and great food served just downstairs. Feels like you’re staying in a home (but with amenities of a hotel). Accessible to public transportation (having a car might be better, though). Plenty of activities to do as well (we did wine & food experience). Great way to just be lazy and lounge around in the winery. We also got to do our laundry during our free time lol...

Hotel Horto Convento

8/10 Hyvä

"We booked a room at Horto Convento, and upon arrival, we were offered an “upgrade” to a nearby hotel under the same ownership, Della Calza Spa & Foresteria. We were promised a suite at this spa hotel, so we accepted the offer. When we arrived at Della Calza, we discovered that the “suite” was actually just a large room with two extra beds. The room was clean and new, but it did not feel particularly cozy and, in our opinion, was not a suite. We complained about the room and were moved to a deluxe room. After that, everything was fine. Della Calza Spa & Foresteria is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Our room was clean and had a charming traditional style. Breakfast was also great, and the staff were very pleasant. The only reason we are not giving it five stars is the initial promise of an “upgraded suite,” which caused some issues at the start of our vacation in Florence."
