”Great”

”This place is well-maintained for how old it is, and it was fun to stay in such a historic building. Surface cleaning is spotless, but a deeper clean is not really great (e.g., ceiling fans). Our room did not have a TV so we had to watch in the living room. We had to share a bathroom. Kind of frustrating for a room with kids, but it was on the booking. Just didn’t catch it somehow. The pillows could use a regular update. The breakfast was better than a traditional continental breakfast, but not...

”Great staff. Very clean. Breakfast was as good as you are going to find at a chain hotel. Only issue was one of the elevators was broken. Definitely will stay here again.”

”Breakfast was good. Could not use the pool, they said they couldn’t find the key. The bathroom toilet was loose, poor paint job and fixing a wall in the bathroom. The exit doors you had to go through down the halls to the rooms, slammed loudly at night and kept me awake. TV was hard to use. Price was higher than it should have been.”

”Good location but mediocre operation. Not a single thing stood out but plenty of unpleasant moments. Check in was unclear and could have been more welcoming. AC unit rattled all night. Stayed for three nights and not once was the room cleaned, sheets cleaned etc. (this was unacceptable for the price we paid), side doors to enter the property were unlocked which was a security hazard, billing was tricky, twice we were given the wrong bill. Not a fan.”

”Although I am a fan of Hampton Inns in general, and perhaps I just got unlucky with my room, but the room (on a non-smoking floor) smelled of cigarettes upon entering. Later in the evening, the shower started dripping spontaneously, even after I shut it forcefully off. I tried calling the front desk but nobody answered. Ultimately the issue resolved itself somehow. ”There was a loud exhaust fan in the bathroom that ran 12 hours a day that could not be turned off (it was on a hotel timer). It did not run at night, but from about 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Very disturbing. Who would design such a feature? I would never stay in the hotel again since I assume every room has the same feature.”

”The room was fairly clean. The desk staff tried to help but we had a party of 4 & the hotel had no sheets or blankets for the 2 individuals using the pullout couch. I asked the front desk twice & they had no blankets available either night. Since then I’ve messaged the property manager twice and corporate once; it’s been over a week & no response. We had to buy our on blankets to stay at a hotel; seems like this should have been a basic amenity for the number of guests we booked for the stay.”

I arrive at the sister hotel, they had two rooms for me to choose from, room 222 and 214. After several attempts, I could not get access to room 214 so I proceeded to room 222 and this room was a mess, the bathroom had a huge patch of black mold above the shower, the lights did not work and it wreak of cigarette smoke, the room was clearly under construction...

”I do not thing it is right to charge for parking at a hotel that is not in a big city where parking is at a premium. This was a hotel near a mall - and to charge for parking is just wrong.”
