”We arrived to very enthusiastic greeting, and a very clean room. We were given vouchers for continental breakfast at the bakery across the way. Aside from the lines and how long it took to be served, the food was incredible. We absolutely understood why their weight was what it was. We had a couple of requests of housekeeping, and they responded immediately and cheerfully. We would absolutely return to this hotel.”

”This is a seriously underrated hotel. I don’t understand why so many people criticize it with such a picky attitude — the reviews are just average, but I believe it deserves five stars. It’s truly affordable, and the attention to detail is great. The cleanliness is outstanding. Although some of the facilities are a bit outdated, they still work fine. It’s excellent value for money, very good, very quiet, and the location is extremely convenient.”

”The ease of check-in was nice after a long drive. The room was clean, simple, no frills and exactly what was needed for a shower and some sleep. Very quiet until the neighbor enters their room, then you realize the walls are kind of thin. Fortunately, the noise didn't last long. Bathroom was clean. Being your own toiletries as a small shower bar and a sample pack of conditioning shampoo is all that is provided. I would stay here again if I'm needing an affordable spot. ”My husband and our 1 year old booked a stay here as a pit stop on a long road trip. It far exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a room with a kitchenette, didn't realize how much better that would be. We ended up making dinner there which was much better than dragging our baby out to dinner at 8pm. She was exhausted and needed to wiggle around. The room was so clean and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet and the workers are attentive and sweet.”

”This was our second stay at the viking. Safe to say it's becoming our go to place in solvang. I love the rooms. The cute fire pit outside. The room is just what we need. Nice and clean and modest not overdone just has what you need. I love how easily accessible it is for us as cyclists not having to go up and down stairs while carrying our bikes. We love the viking and I'm sure we'll be back. ”
