Traveled for work and overall, it was fine. The house definitely needs renovating. There is still carpet from the 80’s in a few of the rooms, the linens are ancient and there were blood stains on the mattress in the back bedroom.
The location was fabulous as it was close to the retail store we were opening and the owner was very kind. The worst part of the trip was that the gate to the property required a code to both enter and exit the property. On our departure date, the gate broke. I contacted the property owners and the security guard and it took over an hour for someone to come and help us. The gate never ended up working, including with the use of the emergency fire department gate key, and they ended up having to cut the chain so we could leave through the back of the property. Such an absolute hazard. Had an ambulance or fire truck needed to get to the house, it would have been impossible. Furthermore, while trying to escape, we all ruined our shoes in the muddy swamp. We made our plane, barely, but it was a horrible experience.
I would recommend this property only if it gets renovated and they do something about that gate. Proceed with caution.
