”This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

”This place was way up in the Pinilla Highlands but such a cool little spot. The pool had leaves in ot due to the winds but was very clean unlike some places we have stayed. The host was very responsive and the property was very clean and comfortable. Wonderful little getaway. You could also see the howler money when you walked to the pool. The road getting to this little gem was a bit rough so you need a 4x4 vehicle for sure. Really close to Avellanas beach area and restaurants. A big plus!”

”Accomodations as described, no AC but fans ok. Property is gorgeous, owner on site and very friendly, beautiful scenery and hiking trails... A TRUE ranch experience! Meals a bit pricey for what was offered, but there is a full kitchen. Note, keep all food in fridge due to ants, this is mountain life! Pool was pristine unlike others where we stayed previously. We would definately return! We would definately return.”

"Very well located. The room was very small, but clean. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Breakfast was meagre but sufficient at this price. Excellent price-quality ratio!!"

"We stayed in a room below the restaurant and woke up each morning latest at 6.30 because they were moving the furniture. In the evening there was noise until 21-22.00. Food was tasty and the restaurant staff is nice. We booked an ATV tour from reception but they did not confirm it with the tour company. They did not come to pick us up and we wasted 1 day. We asked for refund of 1 day but did not receive it. Better to book tours online. Guests are feeding wild monkeys with pancakes and cookies and the staff allows it. The tiles at the bottom of the pool are coming off. Good location close to park and nice sea view."
