We spent the weekend at this charming urban retreat and can’t wait to go back! Everything about this unit made for a perfect get-away. While the building itself is old, the owners took full advantage of the quirks and layout to ensure guests are comfortably immersed in the history of Santa Rosa… a brilliant way to blend into the historic downtown location. The fully-equipped kitchen tempted us to cook, but with so many great restaurants (including Grossman’s, a legit-but-foodie Jewish Deli) within blocks, we didn’t really take advantage. The historic neighborhood welcomed us to explore. Leaving the home for an evening stroll, we could go along the old railroad walking/biking path alongside the water or turn the other direction and be in the center of everything. Off street parking is available, but not necessary as the home is 3 blocks from the Santa Rosa SMART train station. The Sunday farmers market is a short walk, just beyond Railroad Square shops. The property manager, Allen, was so sweet and helpful. When we called about a minor issue with the streaming tv on Saturday night, he answered right away and got us sorted out in a minute. A family with their baby stayed in the unit above us but we didn’t hear a single squeak of a floor board. Can’t recommend this place enough!
