Overview
Villa Binimelis is located in Cala D Or, Mallorca. This detached
vacation rental property offers air-conditioning, Free Wi-Fi and sleeps
up to 10 people with 5 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. There is a private
pool (South-West Facing) with barbecue. Walking distance to the Beach
and Restaurants.
Layout

Villa Binimelis is a villa with a private pool, large terrace, poolside
dining area and BBQ. The main entrance to the villa is at road-level.
Inside the villa is a living room with dining area and kitchen. There
are five bedrooms, one double bedroom and four twin bedrooms (from
which one is with en suite bathroom), and two family bathrooms. A roof
terrace provides beautiful views over the surrounding area. Villa
Binimelis has air-conditioning in all the bedrooms. It has a timer from
20:00 to 06:00

Living Room
The living room has a ornamental fireplace, dining area, comfortable
sofas, DVD Player, Satellite TV and Free Wi-Fi. There are patio doors
to the pool terrace.

Kitchen
The kitchen features a toaster, coffee maker, granite work top, washing
machine, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/hob and oven. There
is also a barbecue outside.

Bedroom 1 is air-conditioned with a double bed.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
If your party consists of a group where the average age is under 25
years of age, a refundable security deposit of 150 EU, per person, is
required, payable with the accommodation balance or six weeks before
arrival. Upon departure, the villa must be left clean and tidy and upon
inspection, the security deposit will be refunded minus any breakages
or additional cleaning required.

We really enjoyed this holiday and the accommodation was very good. We loved how central it was with easy access to restaurants, pubs, beeches, shops, the marina and grocery shops. The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for 10 people to all use the shower. The pool was fun and good for all ages. A deep end for the older kids and lots of space in the shallow end for younger kids. Only downside and the reason for 4 stars was the issue with the a/c. I read in advance that the villa had restricted times for the a/c. Given I had a young baby that needed naps, I sent an email in advance to request I could adapt the a/c times to suit our family. I was told by the agent that the restricted times were only limited in the lounge and the bedrooms were 24/7. This was perfect. Upon arrival, this proved to be incorrect. There was no a/c apart from in the bedrooms and the bedrooms were restricted. I contacted the agent and asked if we could adapt the restrictions. After 3 days of arguing I was told that it came at a high price to have it unrestricted. Therefore I warned them I would provide this feedback. The property and setup were great. My only grudge was the a/c that I felt I was let down on. The description was accurate in the advert. It was simply an agent error that I was disappointed by. One other thing that didn’t bother us but I didn’t notice in the description is that the upstairs area is only accessible by going outside and using a separate key.

The Good - location to beaches and center of town. The lay out of the property. The property manager was responsive when we immediately complained (below). Cleaners came to clean next morning. We asked for beach towels, they gave us plenty. The Bad - security is terrible. Our property was broken into. No scurity system or cameras.You will even notice signs in the property indicate that (1) if you are outside by the pool, you should lock up and secure the doors and windows (which is odd) and (2) if people come to clean the property outside of the designated cleaning days, don’t let them in). Our last night, the house was broken into - 4 pairs of shoes and earrings were stolen. We reported it to the police and the property manager. I still haven’t heard from customer service. Upon arrival, the place was cleaned but not deep cleaned (eg, spider webs in corners, ants, roaches (2) some grime in showers, yard full of pine needs, lounge chairs old and dirty, grill rusted and grimey. We bought grill which we cleaned and left. Lots of ants at first, which were not properly treated. We needed more traps and had use ant spray ourselves to spot treat bedroom areas of penetration. Bait traps left by the home owner appear to be ineffective. The A/C was not functioning the first night which was extremely hot. It was an electrical problem which was fixed the next day. Many of these things could have been done before arrival. In general, the property listing looks more updated than reality.

Wonderful Trip at Villa Binimelis!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Binimelis, myself, my wife, and my two daughters (11&13). What an amazing location, about 2-3 minute walk to the beach and 2-3 minute walk to downtown where all the restaurants are!. The home had all the space we needed, and after a long trip in Europe it was nice to finally have some quality AC! The pool was amazing and refreshing, and the host was very easy to communicate with. We had an amazing stay and hope to come back one day!

Fantastic Villa!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Villa Binimelis, travelling as a nine person family ranging from 10 months to 62 years. Plenty of room space, and very well equipped. Fantastically positioned for everything - beaches, shops, bars and restaurants all within 5 minutes walk, yet very quiet area. Our only criticism would be that the air conditioning only operates from 8pm to 6am, and an extra hour early afternoon, which wasn’t ideal for baby in need of a nap! However, it was very efficient. Will happily stay here again.
