”We had a wonderful stay at Escarpa and it served as our perfect home base to head out and explore the island. The area is remote so a car rental is definitely recommended and give patience on the road that the hotel is off as it’s a very popular tourist destination due to a natural waterfall within 5 minutes walking distance however created a lot of congestion on the very narrow and steep road with cars parking or stopping in front of the drive leading to the hotel. ”Outstanding week. Views are iconic and breathtaking. Pool was heated to temperature we requested. Kitchen was clean and modern. Communication with owners was easy. Having a taxi “on call” was also appreciated. The only thing I would add is a dryer or more towels as we were constantly going in and out of either the pool or beach. 5 stars. Would highly recommend.”

”We stayed for 10 days in the property as a base to explore Madeira. The property was perfect for all 5 of us, lots of space, well equipped and immaculate. Anna is the host and is the loveliest person. She had baked us xakes for our arrival and supplied us with extra beach towels when needed. ”The apartment is wonderfully located and correctly furnished. The view is incredible and worth the stay. Next to nice seaside resorts (Punta Gorda, Lido) and great walks, not far from the bus and supermarkets. The host is very nice and available, the communication was perfect, he even came to look for me at the airport for a reasonable price.”

”We had a fantastic stay at the house. Good cleaning and The house was exactly as described in photos. We had car during our stay and had it parked in the garage. We also loved the area and neighbourhood. Cozy small restaurants and cafees in the area. Defenitly would book this again. Communication was very good with the host. ”

”Het huisje ligt rustig in de bergen. Je hebt een (huur)auto nodig om het eiland te verkennen. Uitzicht is mooi (je kijkt richting de oceaan) maar de inrichting is erg basis. Nauwelijks voorzieningen aanwezig in het huisje. Ze zijn wel bezig met opknappen en renoveren maar het is allemaal wat ouder/basic.”

”Sehr schönes Häuschen in den Bergen. Nach den Wanderungen konnte man draußen herrlich den Abend genießen. Wir waren zu dritt und sind bequem im Haupthaus untergekommen. Alles funktionstüchtig. Es gibt eine spannende Levadawanderung, Levada da Fajā do Rodrigues, ganz in der Nähe. Sehr gute und freundliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Jederzeit gerne wieder! Herzlichen Dank, Eugenio!! ”
