”Oct 2025 - be warned that they are building a pool (which will be amazing once completed!) but is currently a building site so very noisy during the day. Also your view from a ‘sea view’ villa will be very compromised!! The staff were very understanding and sorted an alternative day to the other side of the island on Lazy Beach (which is beautiful!). Clean room, good breakfast, right by the jetty for ferry. So much to like if it wasn’t for the building noise! Shame that no one seems to bother...

”We hade a nice stay, the bungalow/room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. NO Airconditioning though, so it will be hot inside. Also no hot water. The breakfast-service was awful, just awful - nothing wrong with the food though. The resort is a bit to the side of the beach, which has it's pro's and con's, thanfully there is their own free boat-service on a schedule, the boat is also available as a taxi for a very small fee. ”Les chambres (genre de mobile-homes) sont toutes les mêmes (avec un lit double + un lit simple) elles sont spacieuses ( mais très peu de rangements). Petit déjeuner buffet très correct, avec options salées et sucrées incluses. Nuits calmes. Prévoir insecticide car bcp de moustiques dans les chambres. Personnel très souriant et agréable. Hôtel ouvert très récemment, donc à voir avec le temps. ”

”Our villa was wonderful, large spacious room. The staff came twice to our villa to carry out housekeeping. The Royal Sands Koh Rong certainly has an eye for detail and think of everything a traveller needs. We are very glad we stayed here. Special mention to Kean and Sela who were amazingly welcoming and assisted with all our various queries. Sela booked us a car to pick us up from Sihanoukville pier to our hotel. The Royal Sands made our stay on Koh Rong perfect!”

”This hotel was perfect for a beach getaway in Soksan. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Mountain View apartment, which was a bit removed from some of the communal spaces in the property which provided quiet. To access the beach you simply cross the street in front of the property. The included breakfast is substantial and extremely fresh. We also enjoyed multiple dinners on the property and found the staff friendly (shout out to Tony) and the food to be fair priced and tasty. I would definitely return...
