”The property is centrally located for a visit to Sarasota. We had the junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. The pool and fitness center are very nice. The facility is definitely outdated and nothing “special”, although they try to dress it up with colorful decor. The maid service was subpar, they never came on day one and didn’t come until late afternoon day 2. Neither day did we receive new towels. Remaining staff were all very friendly. ”The hotel is a happening place with both lobby and poolside entertainment. It's located downtown near all the best restaraunts. The valet parking is also convenient. My only "complaint", which the hotel is aware of, is that the bed headrests are showing serious wear and tear, so much so that there is a sign on them saying, while clean, they know they should be replaced. Hopefully, that sign won't be there a year from now.”

”The hotel is in a great area… and I could tell that it had once been lovely… but it’s showing signs of age: stains, cracks, and water that just doesn’t get hot enough. The room configuration was awkward with not nearly enough storage space. And, while the bed was comfortable, the pillows were lifeless, flat, and floppy…and the comforter much (!!!) too heavy. ”Long line at check-in. Rooms were not ready. With corporate events, wedding(s), and other social events, staff was overwhelmed; delays in valet car service. As regular guests, we felt like we were in the way. Rufa's was closed Saturday night with no notice. Other guests were loud (children yelling well after midnight). Game room needs update. ”

”Staff were really friendly from front desk to bartenders to valet. Food was excellent and pool was nice with a fun vibe. Parts of hotel are dated and parts are newly renovated. It’s in a great location. I would return.”

”The complimentary breakfast was nice, but it was exactly the same every day. For example, to vary the breakfast sausage with bacon would be appreciated. For those of us staying several days, we need variety. Also there was no wastebasket in the bedroom. There was one in the bathroom, but the main room should have had one too. There was a recycling basket in the main part, yes, but no waste basket where we needed one most. Other than these complaints, the La Quinta Inn was conveniently located...

”The room smelled terrible, the shower worked but was not in good condition and the floorboards by the shower were coming up which is due to water coming out of the shower. Cheaply done and the whole place feels like cheap housing. The Tiki Bar sounded like fun but I wasn’t comfortable as a single woman even going there.And there were men’s underwear and socks in the drawer which creeped me out. The front desk person was ver pleasant.”
