The whole experience with Casey Key was unsatisfactory. They claim they are a pet friendly hotel, but your pet is only allowed in the room. There aren't any waste bags provided for your pet when you're walking them in the PARKING LOT! They should at least have a pet area where your pet can stretch their legs.
The pool area had used cups everywhere, and the sides of the pool had green algae.
I can't comment on the food, because when we went to the lounge to order food, we were told there weren't enough employees to help us.
I booked 2 nights through Expedia, and the special offer was $180 for 2 nights. Great! That's why I chose 2 nights. I was at the hotel for a total of 4 hours when unfortunately I had an unforeseen emergency and didn't even stay one night. I expected to pay $65 for the one night, because I did check in and went to my room. I spoke to the manager, he understood my issue, and said Expedia will refund the $65, the $50 pet fee, and the $100 hold will fall off. So I called Expedia, who said the hotel was responsible for the refund, back and forth back and forth.
ln the end I was charged $180!! I opened a dispute with my credit card, gave them the necessary documents, and 3 months later the hotel finally responded and my dispute was denied. No explanation given.
Yes I called the hotel ahead of time to confirm all the amenities (for pets as well) were available, and I was told yes. Unfortunately overall it was a big disappointment.
