The lovely view of the square gave a view of this beautiful town waking up in the morning. The perfect home base for your stay in Cortona. It’s easy to get to several nice hill towns in the area like Montepulciano and you can walk to Pienza which was lovely (up a hill though). My only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay!”

Paolo met us at his home, and even helped us with a taxi issue once we arrived from the train station. Be prepared to wear your walking shoes as this site is at the base of the hilltop so all the restaurants and shops are uphill except the proper grocery store which is just down the hill and around the corner.. ”Check in and out was excellent, they were very flexible about meeting times. The apartment was centrally located (but still quiet!) with access to laundry, perfect split ductless AC (different temps in different rooms!), a dishwasher, and plenty of common space. The views from the apartment were amazing. There was a nearby church and bells every 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m (and various other times in between, which seemed to change everyday) which was lovely. ”This was a great stay in our favorite town, Orvieto! It was fun to be able to walk anywhere right from our doorstep. The rooms were great size, queen beds, the hosts supplied everything we needed (and even asked if we needed a towel change). The place we stayed before made us purchase our own toilet paper and paper towels so it was nice to have that amenity.
