Walk to Forsyth Park: Dog Friendly 2BR Peach House, Fenced Yard & Fire Pit

Summary:

Walk to Forsyth Park from your own top floor apartment in a white Victorian style duplex in downtown Savannah.

2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, sleeps up to 5 guests. Queen bed in the primary bedroom with its own bath, a full trundle bed with a twin that pulls out in the second bedroom, and a full size sofa bed in the living room.

Dogs are welcome (hypoallergenic, up to 30 pounds, one dog, fee applies). The fully fenced backyard is shared with the downstairs unit and has turf, a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, an outdoor dining table and a grill.

One off street parking spot on a private pad, a washer and dryer in the unit, fast wifi, and self check-in with a smart lock.

The unit is up a flight of 20 stairs with handrails, so guests must be able to climb stairs.



The Space:

Unit A is the whole second floor of the duplex. Come in through the front door on the left side of the building and climb 20 stairs with handrails to the unit. There is no elevator. A baby gate sits at the top of the stairs for families with small children.



Living room: a sofa that folds out into a full size bed, a 60 inch TV, a small desk, and a dog crate for guests traveling with pets. Linens and a pillow for the sofa bed are in the primary bedroom closet.



Kitchen: open to the living room, with granite counters, an island and three stools for bar seating (no indoor dining table). It has a refrigerator with freezer, an electric stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Keurig coffee maker, a toaster, a blender, an air fryer, pots and pans, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, a baking sheet, barbecue utensils and coffee.



Primary bedroom: a queen bed, a large closet and a private full bathroom.



Second bedroom: a full size trundle bed with a twin bed that pulls out from underneath. Room darkening shades are in the bedrooms.



Bathrooms: two full bathrooms, one in the primary bedroom and a second bathroom with a tub for the rest of the unit. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer and an iron are provided.



Laundry: a washer and dryer in the unit.



Comfort and work: central air and heat, ceiling fans, portable fans, a smart thermostat, fast wifi, an Ethernet connection and a workspace. Books and a pack n play travel crib are available.



Backyard: shared with the downstairs unit and fully fenced. It has an artificial turf lawn, a stone fire pit, four Adirondack chairs, a patio with an eight person dining table, a propane grill, and solar lights that stay on for a few hours after sunset. We provide the grill and you bring the gas.



Parking: one assigned spot on a concrete pad behind the building, reached from the alley and well lit. Free street parking is also available.

Guest Access:

You have the whole upstairs apartment (A) of the white duplex, the shared backyard and outdoor space, your assigned parking spot, and the free street parking.



The downstairs apartment is a separate unit. The backyard and the parking pad are shared between the two units.



For safety, there are exterior security cameras above the front doors of both units and one overlooking the parking area. There are no cameras inside.

The Neighborhood:

You are in the Victorian District, known as Savannah's first suburb. It is 50 blocks of bright, bold Victorian architecture, with restaurants, shops and cafes close by. The neighborhood is a mix of restored historic homes and everyday Savannah life.



Forsyth Park is about a 5 minute walk. On foot from the apartment: Kroger grocery store 3 minutes, Mate Factor coffee shop 4 minutes, Collins Quarter at Forsyth 7 minutes, 700 Drayton 9 minutes. Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding Room and Crystal Beer Parlor are a short walk or rideshare away. River Street and City Market are about a 25 minute walk.



You do not need a car here. You can walk, ride or bike around this part of town. Once you book, we send you recommendations on what to do, see, eat and drink in Savannah.



Walk through the squares to shop local retailers, grab a coffee, or sit on a bench and enjoy the Savannah scenery.



Getting Around:

Savannah is a small city and you can walk most anywhere from the Peach House. A free trolley runs through downtown (see ConnectTheDot for routes).



Your unit has one assigned parking spot on a private pad behind the building, reached from the alley. Street parking nearby is free. Please watch the street sweeping signs, which post the sweeping times. If your street is being swept that day, move your car to a street that is not, so you do not get a ticket.



Other Things to Note:

This is a second floor unit and the only way up is by 20 stairs with handrails. Please be sure everyone in your group can climb them.



House rules in short: no smoking indoors (outside only, in designated spots), no parties or events without clearing them with us first, quiet hours 8pm to 8am, shoes off inside, and the primary guest must be 21 or older. Only the guests named in the booking may stay. Before arrival we ask you to fill in the check-in form in the guest app and complete a quick ID check.



Dogs: hypoallergenic dogs up to 30 pounds are welcome, one dog, and the pet fee is $50 per day. No cats or other animals. Please keep pets off furniture and beds, use the crate if you leave your dog alone, leash your dog on walks, and clean up after it. Service animals are welcome under ADA rules. No keys to carry or return. The unit has a keyless Schlage smart lock, and we give you a code that works only for your stay. Your code is sent by 3pm on your arrival day.



Early check-in and late check-out are available by request, subject to our cleaning schedule.



Please treat the home, the other guests and our neighbors with care and respect.

We live close by and can help day or night. Reach us through the app or by phone.



Check-in is self check-in from 4pm. Your code and step by step instructions are sent through the app by 3pm on your arrival day, so please read the check-in guide before you arrive. Check-out is by 10am.
