Thankyou to our hosts who did everything to make us feel welcomed and comfortable for out stay.Stepping out of out wood-fire warmed cottage to enjoy fresh bread on the deck while watching the wildlife mill around the property. Spotting an echidna out the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids.We will definitely be planning a return trip when we can. ”

”What an amazing location. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, they showed us around and we were able to play and feed the baby goats. The scenery was absolutely amazing with views right across the valley and hills. We saw Kangaroos, native birds, goats, Alpacas and even an echidna taking a stroll. The house had everything we needed from heating to amenities to entertainment for a young family. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in aussie bush/farm near the ski...

”Thoughtfully appointed holiday home, lovely neighbor, welcomed with a warm fire. Very dog friendly. Note to future dog visitors they cannot go up Mt buller and Stirling, there is not really any snow where doggies can visit unless it has been falling below 750m above sea level. ”

”Our cottage at The Black Sparrow was cosy and warm for our winter getaway. It was clean and comfortable and everything worked well. It was quiet and set in a beautiful location. We arrived when it was dark, so the narrow dirt roads were a little difficult to navigate and additional lighting might have helped. Overall, a fantastic place to stay for a few nights, very peaceful and private and just as close to Mt Buller for skiing as the more expensive Mansfield. Thanks!”
