”Room was not cleaned on 2 days, breakfast quality was good but service disorganised, was 1st into Breakfast last to be served. Another room was broken into in middle of night, police also had to attend following night. This was my third staying at the Waves, last 2 years excellent but this year was very poor, have cancelled booking for next year. Two other couples who have been staying each year also not booking for next year. A real shame the change from last year ”

”I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

”Excellent reception by host and parking immediately explained and sorted. spacious room with sink and small ensuite excellent shower . Table prepared for breakfast. All one could want with starter full english plus toast and jam and yoghurt. Great location for me staying for the cricket festival which was short walk . Highly recommend as value for money”

”We loved our stay at Ashburton. Beautifully decorated room, with attention to detail, thoughtful hosts who were so lovely, and a fabulous location. Small, and quiet, just as we like it. Appreciated the parking outside the door too! Thoroughly recommended. ”

”Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too.”
