When I booked through Expedia, I booked a room with a king bed and sofa bed. When I checked in, I was downgraded to a double queen bed room. I asked the receptionist if I could get the difference back. She said I would have to go through Expedia. I called Expedia, who then called the front desk. The receptionist LIED and said all the rooms are the same rate. I know this is a lie, because the rooms are different rates on the Expedia app. The rooms are different rates on the hotels website. When I pointed this out to the Expedia agent, the call was disconnected( pretty sure I got hung up on). I called Expedia back. The new agent tried to call the hotel multiple times, but no one answered. They offered me Expedia credits which is all they could do. The room was not clean. There was hair in the bed and the tub. The sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed. I went to the front desk to see if there were any king beds for my original booking. I was told no, and that they were never overbooked, they just upgrade certain guests to their sister hotel next door. I don’t know how that process works because I was still downgraded. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I will never use Expedia
