The Space:

The Welcome Home provides an incredible, dog-friendly way for up to eight guests to enjoy an Oregon Coast vacation, with natural beauty and modern amenities sure to please all of your family and friends.



Located in charming Seal Rock, about 10 miles south of Newport, this secluded bluff home is spacious and relaxing, surrounded by incredible ocean and mountain views courtesy of the wraparound deck, and packed with fun activities like a game room featuring a pool table. Best of all, Seal Rock State Park's sandy beach is just a quarter-mile from your door!



The living area's flatscreen TV and DVD player make for great movie nights, with internet access providing entertainment from any of the room's comfy furnishings, but with the Pacific Ocean just outside, it can be tempting to just curl up next to the woodstove and enjoy the view.



The handsome indoor dining table is perfect for quick and intimate meals alike, and offers easy access to an oversized island with barstools or some quick fresh air thanks to the sliding glass deck doors nearby. The spacious, sunny kitchen is fully equipped with expansive countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a dishwasher for quick, easy cleanup.



The home's lower level offers guests additional space and seclusion with a laid-back family room, featuring a cozy sofa and futon, flatscreen TV with DVD player, and fully stocked bookshelf. There's even a game room with a pool table nearby, and easy access to the lower level deck for more great ocean views!



With three bedrooms, three full baths, and the family room's futon, up to eight guests can comfortably stay in this multilevel home - including infants thanks to accommodations like a crib, high-chair, and baby gate, and dogs (though a small pet fee is required). Between the master bedroom's queen bed and soothing glider, the second bedroom's generous queen, and the third's two twin beds, guests of all ages are sure to get a good night's sleep.



With two baths (one of which has a lovely soaking tub with a separate shower) and a private washer/dryer, everyone will be clean and refreshed, ready to explore the beautiful Oregon coastline!

Drive down Oregon coast

Lovely home with all necessary amenities and lots of space for the family. The most comfortable master bed I slept in all week! We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful place!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable place. Plenty of space, beautiful views, super close to the beach area, plenty of towel-always is a plus-and shampoo. The only thing was the coffee maker (2 of them) didn’t have coffee pot. Definitely will comeback!

Holiday at the coast

Please VACASA review. Dish washer was not repaired and previous renter report d it was broken. The note said it would be repaired. We reported (called and spoke to someone) toilet flapper in the master bath was disintegrating and needed to be replaced. They service said they would repair on the 23rd, no one came and no one notified they were in fact not coming. This meant we were up and down the stairs to the other bathroom or taking the toilet lis off and holding the flapper closed while the tank filled. Obviously no too convenient! Otherwise we enjoyed the house and location, thank you!

Not in good condition!

The house could be great but isn't. There is so much wrong. First, all the carpets have many pet stains, many! There is mold in the downstairs which is also damp. I sat in a chair on the deck and the seat structure (canvas) collapsed, torn, and I was trapped in the frame until rescue by my friends. The cushions in the couch and living room chairs are broken down so that you drop to the bottom of the frames when you sit down. Future guests be warned that the house is not near the beach and is on a steep gravel road. There are more things wrong but I don't want to spend anymore time reviewing - just fix the stuff that is wrong!!

Very disappointing

This home needs some care and attention. The entry was awful (moldy railing, over grown grass, unwelcoming), the inside of the home is fine but rusty outside chairs (only 3) with no cushions! An animal got into the trash the first night and no one ever came to deal with it even though I reached out 3 times! There was no "welcome" basket or even coffee left for us. Not a welcoming stay.

Disappointing outside

The interior of the property was very clean and as described. It was comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table even though there was only one pool cue that had a pad. The exterior appeared to not have had any maintenance in a very long time. The pictures in the listing show a beautiful yard with lots of grass for our dogs and teens. Instead the whole yard was grown over with blackberries and weeds. The only place to take the dogs was the gravel driveway or on the very edges of the driveway. Also, there were only 3 deck chairs which seemed strange for a house that sleeps 6. One chair had the seat torn out so it wasn’t useable. I think the pictures need to be updated on the listing.

Family Coast Trip

Very clean house. There was some damage to the property upon arrival. Hole in the wall in one of the bathrooms. Kitchen sink leaks. Didn’t have access to a dumpster for our trash. Overall, my family enjoyed their stay. Walking distance to the beach. Short drive to local amenities (Newport and Lincoln City) Did encounter wildlife. Saw deer and a bear attempted to get into the trash. Would recommend this house for a family!

Loved the Experience!

The house was absolutely beautiful and very spacious! My 6 year-old nephew didn’t want to leave. With that being said there were some things that I believe needs to be improved. The house was clean but not thoroughly. We had to sweep the floors to get rid of crumbs and black dog hair. The yard had not been mowed in a very long time, the vines and shrubs down the driveway need trimmed they scratched our car and the view would have been spectacular if some of the trees were trimmed. All in all the house was still amazing and I would definitely come again and tell family and friends

A 5 Star Stay

This is a lovely, spacious home tucked away on a quiet street close to town--in easy walking distance to Seal Rock shops and eateries. Excellent use of natural light, comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen and a view of the ocean. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful views!

We enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable home with beautiful views. Our dogs had plenty of room for exploring. We had everything we needed for cooking. This was one of our most relaxing vacations in a long time.

Spacious and Convenient

Location worked great for a family get-together. Close to beaches, birdwatching, rockhounding, shopping, etc. Others commented on the condition of the pool table, but we found it was a fun bonus. The downstairs had a light, musty odor, otherwise the house was clean, open, and worked well for a family of multiple ages (in our case, 3-50+)

Beautiful home!

Beautiful home, fantastic setting and peekaboo views of the ocean. Not far from beach access. Home is clean and private. Open floor plan, huge deck around the house, lots of parking. I will say, that in the dark, it’s a little hard to find. Try to go in the daylight. Bring pillows. As much as I loved this property, the pillows were terrible. Ha!

Ocean View

We had a very enjoyable stay. We did call the maintenance man about the hot water heater, after we figured out it was only 30 gallons then we did spread out our showers. Railing outside could have been wiped off of all the spider webs. A few small things I took care of myself. Perfect place for a family reunion. It was very clean.

The house was clean and roomy as advertised

We enjoyed our stay and the view, you have a real winner here. The only suggestion is that I hope you are able to update the pictures that are on the website. As the pool table didn’t work and based on other posts has been like this for 6 months or more thus you should remove the pic of the pool table or fix it.

Fun Get Away, but pool table was broken

We had a guys board game retreat and had 6 guys total. Each of the guys brought a meal to prepare during our stay and their were enough pots, pans, and silverware at the house to accommodate us. The dining room table was ideal for game playing board games. We could take out a leaflet to play our games and add it back for dinner times. The beach was only a 5-10 minute walk from the house which was awesome for the morning walk we took. The only drawback was that the pool table's leg was broken when we got there and there were no pool balls. The pool table was also not a full size pool table. We were kind of disappointed because the pictures showed the pool table and I picked the house because I thought playing pool would be fun for the guys. Other than that, the house was great!!

Peaceful location with awesome views

The combination of greenery and water views create a very peaceful and relaxing setting. We arrived just in time to see the sunset. There are beautiful views from the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. Due to the location of the house, the night sky is simply amazing! We sat on the deck and stargazed like little kids. It was like being at the observatory. We were also able to observe a few whales passing by, thanks to the binoculars provided in the house. This was an awesome treat for my brother visiting from Ohio! The house was very clean and comfortable, well equipped and feels very spacious, due to the high ceiling. Beds are softer, but comfortable. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms. I was surprised to see the number of small appliances in the kitchen, almost everything except a waffle maker. There were even some basic spices and cooking oils in the cupboard. Plenty of dishes and cookware. (Nonstick skillet finishes a bit worn and warped). Every drawer and cabinet thoughtfully labeled. There are two levels to the house; but all of the livng areas are on the top floor. (The house description doesn't indicate this; but the house does have an accessible entrance from the upper driveway to the front door, which was invaluable to my sister, who has mobility issues. We chose the house not knowing this; because she said she would tough it out going up and down the stairs just once. Having the ramp permitted her to go on outings with us. The downstairs space was nice, but was very musty. I was unable to stay downstairs due to allergies, but my brother opened the door and watched tv downstairs. It was mentioned in an earlier review that the pool table was not usable, due to not being able to retrieve the balls. This is still the case; so it should probably not be advertised as an amenity. Seal Rock State Park is probaly less than a mile from the house and is a total must see. There are several artisan galleries and shops less than a mile from the house. The nearest supermarket is about 5 miles. (One suggestion: ask for very specific instructions on how to operate the lockbox at the main door. I spent a very frustating 15 minutes trying to gain access to the house, using both lock boxes, before I finally called Vacasa and received guidance on opening the box. There is a little trick that is not obvious) All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would come again. Thank you!

Very comfortable property with an outstanding view!

Setting was great: superb view and privacy from neighbors. Home is well-kept and extremely well-stocked. Kitchen had plenty of utensils, pans, dishes, and even several spices in the cupboards!
