”A staff associate, was excellent, Dody, he was very fluent in English and help us a lot, he provide us with a complete program to go to train station and to exit it and wrote messages in Japanese for the taxi driver, he was excellent. About the hotel I suggest the smoking room should have a bench or chairs and maybe add some music so smokers don’t feel it like being in prison, I renamed the smoking rooms in Japan as the “SMOKING CAGE” 😂”

”My wife and I traveled to Kyoto as part of our first trip to Japan and we both agreed, without a doubt Villa Sanjo Muromachi was a - of not the - highlight of our trip. A beautiful boutique hotel with spacious rooms, beautifully decored that make you feel right at home in the heart of historic and charming Kyoto. We opted to have breakfast served to our room and specifically the Japanese version which we did not regret. The service is top notch and especially the bartender. First rate cocktails...

”A great hotel. It is modern, comfortable, clean, quiet, and in a great location. The service is among the best we have had anywhere, better than hotels that cost twice as much. Every member of the staff that we encountered was amazing. The restaurant and restaurant staff is also terrific. ”

"The hotel is located nicely in the middle of a shopping area and not too far from 2 different subway lines. Only downside with the location is that a taxi cant really get right infront of the hotel but it's not a long walk (3 minutes) from the closest drop off location.
Checking in and out is easy and quick with the self service desks and there is staff to help if you require assistance.
Didnt have much interraction with the staff except for one at reception and the cleaning staff of the floor and all were very friendly.
Only downside (for me) was how hard the bed was but that's a preference thing.
With all that said unless the hotel prices itself out it will stay on my radar for when I come to Kyoto again (6 days is not enough!)."
"Great experience! The room was good sized and I loved the separate space in the entrance. Room was clean and had everything you need including charges and little macha set. Breakfast was really good and had a lot options and the public bath was nice. Hotel is not beside any big roads and not in the middle of everything so the area is quiet but still close to subway and bus lines. "
