”Property felt new and modern. Furnished tastefully and well designed. It felt like a high end experience and the facilities were excellently maintained, or potentially brand new. It was honestly hard to tell since it was overall just a really nice stay. My wife's theory is that they are called the Puffin Houses because they are painted to look like abstract puffins with the orange beak and black body.”

”We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space! The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. Had an issue with the shower draining but the owners were easy to communicate with and responded to our concern immediately. ”If you like being out of the way Afternoon Cottages is a great jumping off point for adventuring. It is well equipped and very clean. It has a great price point and very basic. It worked great for us because it was simply a place to cook dinner and sleep. You have access to all the necessities about 25 minutes away in Hella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.”

"The rooms themselves are quite nice and recently renovated. No AC in the room, so it can get pretty hot if The windows open towards easr. The staff was helpful when necessary, but not too service-oriented. However, if your room is facing the square in front of the hotel, it is VERY NOISY during the weekends. Be prepared for waking at 4-5 AM to ruckus, drunken shouting and singing, even sirens. There’s little the hotel can do about it, but I have not slept this poorly in a long time. "

"The room was comfortable and the views to the sea were awesome, though blocked a little by salt stains on the windows. The personnel in the hotel were very helpful. The breakfast had everything I wanted and more. The location was great. I like to take the stairs where possible and found a way to do so also at this hotel but the way was not very clearly marked - something to consider for sustainability and decreasing waiting times for lifts."
