”The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. ”Staff were very nice but this is an incredibly dated hotel. The fabric softener was overbearing and required the room to be left with windows open a long time, walls are thin, bed not great not horrible. Windows are open right to a hallway that’s active so people are basically 1 foot from you when they walk down th hall. Whole place needs a refresh. For $140 not really worth it. Right next to the highway which you can hear during the day but is quiet at night. Mostly. I’ve been to motel 6s that...

”Nice location by a walking path. Felt safe/secure. Free parking during stay. Near bear area- don’t plan to leave food in car. Had a bit of a view of the lake from the patio. Be aware that patio is accessible to neighbors’ kids/pets since lower part is open. Front desk open until 9:30-ish. No one present later as expected.”

”Interesting and unique place ! The bed was super comfortable, slept great. Rooms very small and no extra frills, it worked for the main purpose, sleep, shower. Perfect place for travelers to meet and mingle. Mostly spent our time in Truckees many restaurants/bars or Northstar skiing. I would recommend if looking for a lil more affordable place ! Personally a lil pricy for a hostel, but its Truckee, tourist town and close to skii resorts, thats just the way it is !”
