Chalet't – Shaw Island

”If you like waking up all night because the guests upstairs decided to walk around the squeaky floors and noisy water pipes then, stay at deer harbor inn. Horrible stay, was up 3/4 of the night. Called the in keeper he didn't do anything about the noisy guests at the hotel.”

”Our stay was great. Very peaceful. A little more communication about check-in and check-out would have been helpful as there are few staff on site. The breakfast was yummy, which is only available in July and August. The room was clean but smelled a little stale, a little like cigarette smoke when fan wasn’t running. There is no air conditioning.”

”The staff is not consistent. The restaurant greeter is not customer first. The large round table in the lobby means there’s literally nowhere to sit or congregate. Third floor has free coffee and sodas in the morning in the central area while there’s nothing on the main floor common area - for a very expensive room. Views are superb.”

It was super quiet, great location, and parking was easy. They sent a pre-check in notice which I filled it but then they needed everything at check in anyway. ”They used to have a complimentary nice continental breakfast, which I was promised when I made the reservation, but they discontinued the breakfast the day before my arrival! If I paid full price for two nights (actually under separate reservations) aren't I entitled to a little bit of housekeeping??? Otherwise, discount the nights when not providing housekeeping.”
