Motellit – Shelby Farms Park

”Place was dirty outside near the registration window. Rooms had old/dirty sheets that have not been replaced. The room smelled of mildew on the rugs and bedspread. The floors had dead roaches and spiders on them. Toilet had dirty rings and smelled awful. I could not stay a full night in the place. I got there at 1:00 am and got up at 5am. I leaned back in a chair for a while and did not come back. Please do not go here it is one of the worst places I've been. Very nasty.”

”This property is quite run down, but I could tell the flooring was new in my room and there were roofers doing a replacement while I was there, so I know the owners are putting money into improving the situation. This motel has something others in the area don't - it's not sitting right next to I40, which means you can actually get to sleep because you aren't hearing road noise. ”Had to stand in the non-air conditioned lobby and wait for the attendant to take care of my reservation, which she could not find spent 3 minutes in sweaty heat before I just opened up the door and went outside upon moving into a room, open door and a cockroach ran out that I killed. Went back downstairs and requested another room”

”Room had water bugs in it. Wasn’t kept up, area was dirty and didn’t feel safe. Went to ask for a towel and “there were none” Recommend finding somewhere else to stay for the night!”
