”It was worth the money!”

”When we walk in Sean welcomed us, introduced himself, shook our hands and told us how much he appreciated us staying there. The room was clean and comfortable. We were staying one night and traveling down further in Virginia, that evening we couldn’t find a decent hotel so we drove 60 miles back to stay another night. All of the staff was very friendly. If I go back to Virginia I will definitely stay there again. Thank you Sean for your great costumer service!”

”Stayed with a friend to show her the park. Centrally located and close to all the best hikes. Room was comfortable, had TV and air conditioning too. A nice upgrade from a campsite.”

”This hotel is beautiful and lovingly preserved. Every staff member we met was friendly and went out of their way to answer questions, especially about the building’s history. Breakfast at the Second Draft was perfect (get the iced collagen coffee!) and we really enjoyed the spa. The historical walls are literally a foot thick, so you can’t hear a peep from adjacent guests’ rooms. There’s even an art gallery on the third floor. Can’t wait to visit again!”

”I have stayed at many hotels in Roanoke and Salem, but I will always stay at Avid from now on. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are immaculate. Very friendly staff. I never have breakfast at hotels but this one is the exception. Excellent.”
