Lomamajat – Shenandoah Valley

”Traveling I81 going home to Tennessee. Did not want to stay at chain hotel in Roanoke decided to stay at Peeks of Otter only 12.5 miles from interstate! Woke up to a beautiful peaceful lake view after a good night’s sleep, had two good meals dinner and breakfast. Very nice stay.”

”Really interesting Mountain View’s and unique location. Staff was very friendly in informing us on the amenities offered and helped set us up with breakfast for our stay (which beat our expectations). Not a bad spot to lay your head down after a day exploring local parks, wineries and cideries.”

”The bed rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms. The hosts were kind and responsive. However, the 1/2 bath smelled like urine. Additionally, it was extremely noisy. The dog barked & you could hear every movement they made upstairs. The beds were also very creaky and it was drafty. ”

”This is. beautiful lodge, staff are great and the views are stunning. Excellent place to stay before going in to or leaving the national park.”

”The cabin is cute, but the property beside it looks down on the cabin so not much privacy or a view. There's no dishwasher, oven, or even a hair dryer here. When it rains the water turns rusty, thus is not drinkable and they don't leave bottled water for you or offer to help with that so that limits showers, toilets turned rusty, couldn't make coffee etc. The property was a little overgrown when we arrived as well. But a person came while we were there and cut the grass.”
