”My wife and I (and our 16-year old dog) came. My wife and I wanted to see the headwaters of the Mississippi. Our dog, blind and deaf, just wanted to be with us. It is a great location, and we really enjoyed the flock of wild turkeys that visited. This was the last trip our dog took with us (we had to put him to sleep shortly after we returned home). I think of Big Timbers with fondness as the last really good memory of our time with the dog.”

”There is nothing about this place that isn’t absolutely beautiful in every way. The home was unique and so comfortable, decorated and finished with such care. The location, so remote and quiet. ”We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. We attended a family reunion in a nearby park so we were busy most of the weekend and weren’t able to take advantage of the big backyard and kayaks. Grandchildren enjoyed pool table. Lots of sleeping options. We enjoyed the screened in porch. Hosts responded quickly to my questions before we arrived. Highly recommend! ”

”The cabin is warm, inviting and cozy with all the modern conveniences. Even my kids will drink the water from either the tap or the fridge. Private setting, a few ATVs drove by, neighboring homes not visible or loud. Only mental note I’ve made is that the road immediately leading to the cabin is soft, much better suited to a truck/SUV than a sedan. We will drive a different vehicle next time.”
