”There wasn't a bar or a fridge in the room. However the hotel was very accommodating to your requests. This is a historical property it's quaint and beautiful without the glitz and glamour of a modern day hotel.”

Parking is super easy and my room was cleaned well! The only feedback I have is to offer more than just tea/coffee and travel size boxes cereal for breakfast options—there are no options except for choosing the kind of cereal you’d like. ”For the price it was, it was exactly what i expected. everything was kind of clean for the most part BUT, there were hairs on the pillows and bed. Miscellaneous spots on the sheets and on the shower curtain. The bathroom sink hot water nob was completely broke. I turned it on and it fell off.. it seems they just throw it back on and call it a day. some of the “ clean “ towels had spots on them, only a few not all. Overall, our stay was a 5/10. Beach is close and so is food spots that’s a plus....

”Cleanliness & new! Spent about 30 minutes in office because maybe our reservation got double booked. Young man at the desk really persevered and called for assistance and gave us a nicer room on 3rd floor of other building up three flights of outside stairs, which was OK, but we’re both 81 years old & did do it with luggage!”

”Better than expected! I was worried about the cleanliness based on the reviews but it was actually fairly clean, besides a few stains in the shower and a decent amount of dust. The bed area was very clean and we were very pleased with our stay. The parking, pool, and hot tub were amazing!!! The only issue we faced was the lack of microwave and fridge but we missed that on the listing so it’s not necessarily the property’s fault but just something to note as most motels offer these amenities...

”This was my family and I second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Room was clean anna spacious and being directly on the boardwalk was a plus. We enjoyed the beach which is directly in front of the hotel. I will be back again next yr for sure.”

”Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was clean, Hotel was clean. We didn’t use the pool because we came for the beach but from my view from the room the pool also looked clean and well kept. The location of the hotel was perfect, just one block from the boardwalk. Check in was fast and seamless. Front desk was friendly. This was first time in Ocean City and most definitely will come back and will stay at the Gateway!”
