The property was in good shape all told - not the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed but overall perfectly nice considering the circumstances & I’ll likely book again next time I’m in the area

Upon arrival the property wasn’t appealing. The yard needed maintenance really bad. There was tree limbs and grass was over grown. We entered the home and it wasn’t bad. Two things we noticed immediately was there was dirt in the freezer on one of the shelves and the a/c return was caked with dust. The other thing was the there were no wash clothes and limited amount of towels. Thankfully there were only 4 adults staying. I personally would not stay here again.

Great porch

Please read to the end! Appears to be in the midst of upgrade. Backyard patio area unavailable—which we knew ahead of time. Pretty rough—lots of original features, decades old. Kitchen cabinetry—original wood—painted. Outdated carpet on steps to MBR. Master bath toilet outdated. No towel bars/hooks—one towel ring falling off wall. Weathered exterior wooden steps up to main floor /entrance deteriorating. Screening on screened in porch in need of repair/replacement—one panel has come loose on one side—several holes. However…the second story porch is this house’s redeeming grace! And redeem it, it does! Many hours were spent on the spacious, peaceful, comfortable porch that we called “the tree house” thanks to the majestic front yard tree that it overlooked. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Pretty awful

Where do I start? Yard rough, not a place for kids who want to play outdoors. Screened in deck what had holes in screens, some large, and filthy cushions on outdoor furniture making that space unusable. Kitchen pretty well equipped. Living space adequate though living room filled with various sized sectional furniture not comfortable and stained in places. Downstairs bedroom small and nowhere to store clothes except for those that could hang in closet. Downstairs bath nice. Upstairs loft bedroom, no privacy, just a curtain where the bathroom door used to be. Plumbing issue our first day that was taken care of promptly. No shower liner and curtain hung about 6 inches over the step in so that the floor flooded each time we showered. Shower rod would not stay up because of how much water weight the cloth curtain held. I purchased a new rod and shower liner and that solved the problem. Just a very poorly maintained property overall. I’d love to know what type of due diligence VRBO does on the properties listed on their site. This is the second time we’ve been burned on the key due to pics and description that make the place look great but then reality is the exact opposite.
