Palatsit – Sigiriya

”This hotel is very suitable for couples and also if you are travelling with kids. Rooms are located in semidetached houses, so even if there is families visiting you can get peace and quiet if you are not into kids. Pool is big, and has kid's zone as well. Staff is friendly, and reception persons genuinly willing to help with getting tuktuk or car if you want to go places. Food in the restaurant is good (and you can have steak as well), breakfast is good as well, even though if you are staying...

”We were so excited about this place but when we got there, we”

”Our hosts were welcoming and delightful. The hospitality made our visit of Sigiriya most memorable. The rooms were clean and the food was fresh and delicious. With ease of access to the restaurants, and of course Lion's Rock, we took in the sunrise from a most impressive ancient civilization! Highly recommended.”

”Excellent service, location and staff”

”The family that run the accomodation were very nice people. Very helpful & accomodating. The breakfast was probably the best breakfast I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. The string hoppers & potato curry were fantastic. The pool was quite handy in front of our room, especially after a humid day. I would stay here again for sure.”

”We had a very pleasant three night stay at the Otunna Guest House! Dinesh was the greatest host ever, taking care of us, helping us plan the to-do's around the area and arranging transportations and all. His mother cooked us wonderful meals for breakfast and dinner, and his father taking care of the surroundings. Thank you! Highly recommend this place when staying in Sigiriya area.”

”Stunning spot overlooking a lake where elephants have been every morning and evening of our stay (can’t see them that well in the evening!). Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the food they prepare , whether breakfast, or if you ask lunch or dinner, is extremely tasty and plentiful. We cancelled our plans and stayed an extra night it was that good. Cannot recommend enough.”

”A touch of paradise! The host and his family gave us the warmest welcome in the world. The room was spacious and spotless. Despite being in the forest, there wasn’t a single ant or mosquito in the room. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows. We had a lovely balcony overlooking lush greenery. Breakfast was served on the balcony every morning at our preferred time, and was undoubtedly the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel around the world. I had informed them in advance that I was coming...

”as amazing as siguriya itself is, and it is, the staff at king's resort were the highlight. nothing was too much trouble, true professional hospitality, it was great. we were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and they made it special. sri lanka is amazing. truely. did i mention the plunge pool? you'll prob want to get that. the big pool is brilliant but the plunge pool, for us, was really special”

”We accidentally found this fabulous hotel due to sudden change of our vacation plan. Hotel is located in very calm quiet area within 10 km from Sigiriya local ticketing office. We had an unexpectedly wonderful time in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. Hotel has two well maintained pools and beautiful restaurant. Room and the whole hotel was very clean. Foods are so delicious as well. Highly recommend for couples or anyone would like to spend true relax time before or...
