”Very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely setting. Happy to arrange tours, taxis etc. The restaurant area on the edge of the forest away from the main road meant it was quieter than other hotels but still walkable to the sites.”

”Ruchira was the perfect host, and the rest of the staff is the kindest as well. Super helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. There were the most beautiful rice fields in the back with 2 kinds of monkeys, peacocks, parrots, even elephants at times. The hotel arranges cheap private tours of the nearby attractions - just let them know what you want to visit and one of their skilled drivers will take you there. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Nice to try local food, and the hosts...

”We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly, making us feel very well looked after. The swimming pool was a great —perfect for a refreshing dip after climbing Sigiriya Rock. The hotel is in a slightly isolated location, but this wasn’t an issue for us and actually added to the peaceful atmosphere.”

”What a wonderful place. The staff is absolute angels, they are very hospitable and accommodating, they go above and beyond to ensure everyone enjoys their stay and feels like home. Nice and clean room (we stayed in the Deluxe room) The food is REALLY good if you like the lokal cuisine, you have to try It!! Only minus was a lack of other guests, due to the covid situation😕 More People would make the athmosphere here even better😊”

”This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. We really enjoyed our time there, certainly a place to disconnect in the middle of the island ”

”Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...
