We appreciate you two spending the night with us. I enjoyed visiting with you.It is rare for it ever to be warm enough in Silverton for the rooms to be uncomfortable but of course that was the case the day of your stay as we climbed into the mid 80's that day. Summer afternoons are typically in the low to mid 70's and nights are delightfully cool. As a result, air conditioning does not exist in the area. With the entire southwest US suffering a record breaking heat wave this summer, I suppose warmer than usual days may be with us for a while.We are not a typical chain hotel so the experience here is a bit different.The inn is a 125 year old hotel constructed out of wood and stone so yes, floors and stairs are a bit creaky and doors are original to 1898. This is part of the historical charm of the building and a large part of it's appeal. But yes, you will hear other guests moving about occasionally.The robes for the hot tub were washed during the morning of the previous guest's departure and were hung to air dry in the the fresh mountain air so were still a bit damp at the bottom...my apologies for that. I will pay attention in the future to be sure robes are totally dry before being hung in rooms. I'm glad you enjoyed our back courtyard along with the hot tub and fire pit...it is quite peaceful out there.We hope you will keep us on your itinerary as a stop for your future adventures in the San Juan mountains!

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your breakfast. I would have made something more to your taste had I known. I certainly enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you as well. We will look forward to your next visit!-Matt
