1. El Jardin de Playa Negra

Cahuita

”Five stars for the overall experience, location, and especially the staff, even though the actual accommodation is quite basic. The main listing makes it sound like this is a whole house, but it’s actually two completely separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and no connecting door between the two, then the kitchen and seating areas are outside. (This is more obvious in the detailed description if you click through and read the whole thing, but could be clearer in the main description...

”This lodge was the perfect setup for our family of 4 visiting the Cahuita area for a couple days. Immersed in nature and 5 minutes drive from the village, ideal for those looking for peace and quiet (except for the howler monkeys calls!) as long as you have a rental car. We were welcomed by the very friendly owners who provided a delicious breakfast on demand (great deal given quantity and quality). My favorite part of the house was the bathroom/shower, which has its own inside garden! There is...

”The place was Exceptional! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay... to include the pool! The house was very clean and accommodating. Our host answered my questions immediately. The location is Great and the food around the area is wonderful! We could walk to the beach, grocery store and other locales without any issues!! We had a Fabulous time and if available, will come back again. It is our home away from home!! Pura Vida!!”
