Wonderful scenery around the village, the gateway to the Isle of Skye 20 minutes away, and what feels like the only chocolaterie in the whole of Scotland within walking distance. Of course, as almost everywhere in the Highlands, you should have a car with you, as public transport is not as frequent as you might be used to in cities.”

”Home is lovely with a nice backyard in a quiet neighborhood with play area across the street. We could easily walk to grocery store and downtown Portree. There were some issues with maintenance while we were there, but that couldn’t be helped.”

”Overall, the stay was great! The house was big and the host provided a lot of extra niceties. The only problem we had was inconsistent internet and wifi, but that is to be expected with a rural property. We also found the front door difficult to lock, although as Americans, we may have just not understood how the lock worked.”

”Like all the reviews have said, the house was spotless and had everything we needed. We had 2 red squirrels passing in the morning, a pheasant, rabbits, and bird song.
