”Stayed for one night for work. The general hotel is nice as was the breakfast and the gym facilities. Staff were helpful at check in and out. The rooms are very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. I over looked the middle of the hotel so it was noisy at night. Has a lot of potential with a bit of a refresh.”

When parking in the car park we noticed that houses surrounding the property had been boarded up and had some graffiti and the pub property was surrounded by barbed wire fencing. I understand from the hotel staff that they have had a problem with cars being broken into overnight and were introducing security patrols with dogs to help minimise issues with cars. ”Large bedroom and recently modernised en-suite. All clean and tidy. Nice and warm (4 day stay in January). Breakfasts were excellent and the food available for the evening meals in the pub part of the hotel was also good. All of the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The car park is big. Breakfast does not start until 7.30am. You order it from the menu the night before and it was always ready for 7.30 for me, but I was there on business it left me quite tight for getting to my meeting...
