Majatalot – Slate Islands

”I am rooting for these guys! It’s a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. ”The bed and breakfast was delightful. We had a fourth floor room with amazing views of the harbor. The place was decorated well and was very welcoming. They provided separate shampoo, conditioner and body wash unlike the other places in Scotland where we stayed. The gal that was working was so nice and helpful. ”The venue is up a gradual slope, being around a 10 minute walk from the town centre however the view of the harbour during the walk is beautiful. Being close to the pulpit hill viewpoint makes a nice trip being only a couple minutes walk from the venue. Carolyn was very welcoming and seeing me as a female sole traveler, made me feel very safe and gave me suggestions for the best places to visit. ”We had the family room, situated at the front overlooking the bay of Connel and the highland hills in the background. We had summer weather, what helpt making it fantastic. It's a fine B&B, caring owners of an old building that's well maintained. The frond road can be busy during the day, we had all 3 windows open all night and it was quiet, we had a good sleep.
