”We chose the cheapest room rate and I suppose we got what we paid for. Towels stained and thread barren, shower curtain heavily coated with pink mold, all edgings black with muck that could be scrub brushed, walls splattered with all matter and in need of paint, couch was too dirty to sit on.”

”Staff were wonderful at the front desk and in the restaurant. We were in town to coach at a soccer tournament so our stay was short. Next time we are headed for Nelson, we will stay at the Hume, hopefully for a bit longer!! ”

”I loved the little fridge because it had a separate freezer door and we were able to refreeze our large ice packs. Another nice feature was good organic coffee in the room and real cups and glasses instead of plastic or cardboard!!! The room was a bit tight, but it was quiet with little outside noise.”

”Everything about the room and the hallway was old and under maintained. The bathtub was flaking, but the toilet, sink and countertop were OK. The sheets and towels were clean if not rather thin, and there was no blanket to put on the bed; it just had a very thin duvet, and it was winterThe floor was a little gritty with sand and didn’t feel good to walk on. The fridge had been left unplugged and smelled bad so I didn’t use it. I really just needed somewhere to sleep and shower for a couple...
